New features
Voice Communication: Voice Communication has been added directly into Counter-Strike. The command "+voicerecord" allows you to start speaking. Teammates will know you're talking by an icon that appears over your head as well as your name being added to a list on the right hand side of the HUD. You can easily ignore people by clicking on a new section of the scoreboard. All other gameplay sounds are toned down when another person speaks. The lips are now synched with both the voice comm and radio
functionality. Check
out the GameSpy preview. Spec mode: A new spectator proxy allows for literally hundreds of people to watch one game. Don't worry, there is a server-side delay that will make cheating almost impossible. Check out the GameSpy preview. Truform Support: Valve's new patch will also include support for ATI's TRUFORM technology. This makes triangles into curved surfaces and back into triangles with no performance hit. Read the full Anandtech preview right here.
Important Note: These are all subject to change/not appear. All
information on this page is obtained through interviews, other sites, and/or
direct communication with the CS team.
